It is known to all that Saudi Arabia is one of the richest countries in the whole planet for its oil productions and is considered as one of the biggest oil producing countries in the whole world. Yes - most of its citizens especially those who are less fortunate are receiving a monthly or yearly oil stipend and other forms of alms from the government but the country's population is drastically increasing. And these young Saudis need jobs too for their future and ambitions.
When Saudization blasted many of foreign workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, immediately have started worrying. Some of them including myself have wrongfully interpreted it as a threat. But those were normal feelings and reactions that each and everyone has exhibited. However, it is better to stop harrowing instead - learn the lessons and the good tidings of Saudization.
We have to accept that job is only temporary. In the Kingdom, the retirement age will start at 55 year old. If one has reached this retirement age and his company decided to send him home - he cannot stop it. If he met an accident or got sick and has stopped him from working - it could be a valid reason that his company will send him home.
The unemployment rate for Saudis in the Kingdom is high especially for the young graduates. Every year the country has produced ten of thousands newly graduates. Yes - some of them are already working on Saudi government offices around the Kingdom. Although still, the government could not accommodate all of these young energetic newly graduates from colleges and universites.
The unemployment situation in the Kingdom pushed these young energetic Saudis to unite and started calling for a peaceful rally, protest and demonstration - asking the government to address their grievances and the dilemma of being unemployed. This is one of the many reasons why Saudization was introduced and prioritized in the Kingdom nowadays and we have to appreciate it.
If an immigrant worker will leave the
And if he is decided not to work abroad anymore, there are many opportunities to venture. If he would have the interest to develop his talents and skills, there are available free training and seminars to help him develop them and eventually he certainly can start small business in his home country. I remember in 2009, the former US President Bill Clinton has endorsed the direct sales and MLM business that helped thousands of American people to reach their dreams come true.
As for me, I just wish and hope that Saudization will be a wake up call to our Philippine Government as well to stop building our country on the concept of exporting manpower. It would be better if my government would come up with plans and create more jobs for our graduates that would pay fairly well.
